The Rolling Thunder Review

Spring this year is not  behaving properly. It's supposed to be generally sunny, with warm gentle breezes,  and soft rain.  Instead, it's often hazy, hot and humid, and many times in the late afternoon,
the gods of thunder come for a visit.
Zeus, Odin, Jupiter, Thor...
they take turns  rolling down the river, threatening to drown us with their cumulous sorrows and vast veils of tears.
They put on amazing shows...but  like so many politicians, it's mostly just a bunch of hot air, filled with sound and fury,
and signifying nothing.

How does one placate a thunder god ?

I don't know how you placate the guy, but if you find out, to let me know!! What terrific photos and a very similar variety to what we've been having here in Washington. Hope you have a lovely weekend! Enjoy!

Great captures.
This week it has been dark
and dismal. Maybe the weekend
will be better. Have a happy one.

One must sing to the gods.
You have to admit that the hot, thunderous days give some great clouds!

lol! I like your words.
We have had vicious storms this week too, more like July than late May, early June. Great photos!

I was photographing the clouds here in the Sierra foothills yesterday and thinking how hard it is to capture their overwhelming magnificence. And here you've done just that. Gorgeous sky there, Susan.

Sunshine and clear skies over here Susan but all about to change very soon. Have a good weekend whatever the clouds are doing. FAB

The scene was similar to your pictures, here a little while ago... It rained a bit and again a sunny sky :-)
